ORDER Date : 09-02-2026 (K.R. Surana, J) Heard Ms. R. Choudhury, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. G. Sarma, learned standing counsel for the FT and NRC, Ms. S. Katakey, learned standing counsel for the ECI, Mr. H.K. Hazarika, learned Junior Govt. Advocate and Ms. J. Sarma, learned CGC.
2. This IA has been filed for correction of the cause title of the writ petition.
3. It has been submitted that in the address of the petitioner in the cause title of the writ petition, the police station is referred to as Jogighopa. However, the correct police station will be Abhayapuri. Accordingly, it is submitted that though this Court by order dated 09.01.2026 passed in WP(C) 98/2026 had granted bail but due to the said error, bail could not be taken.
4. As the learned State and Departmental counsel and CGC have no objection to the prayer made, the prayer made in this IA stands allowed.
5. The petitioner is permitted to submit an amended cause title of the
Page No.# 3/3 said WP(C) 98/2026 to the A.O.J (FT section) for receipt of the same for incorporating it in the writ petition.
6. Accordingly, 10(ten) days further time from the date of the order is extended to the petitioner to appear before the Superintendent of Police (Border), Bongaigaon and to take bail in terms of the directions contained in the
order dated 09.01.2026 passed in WP(C) 98/2026.
7. This order shall be read together with the order dated 09.01.2026 passed in WP(C) 98/2026.
