The limited prayer made by this petitioner in this writ petition is for a direction upon the appellate authority under the Arms Act to dispose of the Appeal No.01 of 2024, which is pending before the Commissioner, Palamau Division at Daltonganj. 3. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the license of his arms has been cancelled and he has preferred an appeal against such cancellation order. Since the appeal is pending from 2024, prayer has been to dispose of the same. 4. Considering such submission, without going into the merits of the case, I direct the appellate authority to dispose of the appeal by giving one opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, if not already disposed of, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. The reasoned order should be communicated to the petitioner. 5. With the aforesaid observations and directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
