THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE D.RAMESH WRIT PETITION No.4263 of 2026
ORDER: This writ petition is filed declaring the action of respondent Nos.2 and 3 in not filling the post reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) thereby giving appointment to the petitioner in respect of the recruitment notification dated 03.01.2025 for the post of Staff Assistant (in service PACS) in 2nd respondent, even after petitioner securing highest marks and even after making representations dated 12.08.2025 and 25.08.2025, as illegal and arbitrary.
2. Heard
learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3. The contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner has participated in the selection process and got highest marks in the scheduled caste category and despite the same, the respondents have not taken steps to fill up the post reserved for SC category. Therefore, the petitioner made representations on 12.08.2025 and 25.08.2025. However, for the
4
reasons best known to them, the respondents have neither considered these representations nor proceeded to fill up the reserved post.
4. Considering the said submissions, without going into the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing respondent Nos.2 and 3 to consider the representations made by the petitioner on 12.08.2025 and 25.08.2025 and pass appropriate orders based on the records within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. _______________________ JUSTICE D.RAMESH
