The present application has been filed by the applicants/petitioners, seeking substitution of the respondent No.2, the Commissioner and Secretary, Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, Government of Assam, P.O.- Dispur, Guwahati-781006,” in the connected WP(C) No. 5009/2023 by “the Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam, Home and Political Department, Dispur, Guwahati- 781006.” 3. Perused the materials available on record. 4. Having gone through the pleadings as well as the materials available on record and taking note of the peculiar facts and circumstances of the Page No.# 4/4 case, this Court is of the opinion that the aforenoted incumbent, i.e., the Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam, Home and Political Department, Dispur, Guwahati-781006 be arrayed as the respondent No.2 in place of “the Commissioner and Secretary, Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, Government of Assam, P.O.- Dispur, Guwahati-781006” in the connected writ petition for its proper adjudication. 5. The applicants/petitioners shall furnish an amended cause title in terms of the Notification No. 19 dated 19.06.2023 before the Registry within a period of 10 (ten) days from today.
