Notice to other respondents is not necessary for the following reasons: Learned Counsel for petitioners submits that the appeal preferred by the petitioners before the first respondent-Deputy Director of Land Records has been rejected by the said authority by issuing the impugned endorsement dated 31.07.2024 at Annexure-J, stating that the RTC to the land in question does not reflect the name of the petitioners. Learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that the RTC reflects the name of the petitioners’ father and such an endorsement could not have been issued by the Deputy Commissioner. 2. This Court has perused Annexure-A, RTC, which reflects the name of the petitioners’ father, Late Sri.Chikkamunishamappa S/o Hanumanthappa, to an - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:12324 WP No. 23801 of 2024 extent of 1 Acre 38 Guntas in Survey No.61/2 of Siddapura Village, Varthur Hobli, Bangalore East Taluk. 3. For the reason stated above, the writ petition is allowed while setting aside the impugned endorsement dated 31.07.2024 at Annexure-J issued by the first respondent-Deputy Director of Land Records. The appeal filed by the petitioners is restored on the file of the first respondent, with a direction to the first respondent to issue notice to the respondents therein and proceed to consider the appeal in accordance with law.
