Petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No. 0074/2026, registered at Police Station Anand Vihar, for commission of offences under Sections 316(2)/318(4)/336(3)/340(2)/61(2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (corresponding Sections 406/420/468/471/120B IPC, along with all consequential proceedings arising therefrom. 2. The abovesaid FIR was registered on the basis of directions given by the learned Magisterial Court while considering an application filed under Section 175 (3) of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. Such order is dated 19.02.2026. 3. It is not amply clear as to why when the abovesaid Revision Petition is pending before the learned Court of Sessions, the present petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking quashing of the FIR. 5. Learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State appears on advance notice and divulges an important development. He submits that the investigation is already over and a closure report has already been filed before the learned Magisterial Court which is coming up for consideration on 23.11.2026. 6. After some arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner, in view of the abovesaid revelation of the fact, does not press the present petition at this juncture and seeks to withdraw the same with liberty to file it afresh at a later stage, if need so arises. 7.
