2. In the present case, the dispute pertains to two score cards of the petitioner i.e., Annexure P-5 and Annexure P-6 annexed to the present petition. 3. As per Annexure P-5, the petitioner is stated to have secured 536 marks out of total marks of 720 with a category rank of 20234. On the other hand, Annexure P-6, reflects the petitioner’s score as 185 out of 720 with category rank of 492068. 4. Ms. Fatima, learned counsel for the petitioner draws my attention to Annexure P-3, which is stated to be the OMR sheet corresponding to the score of 536 marks as reflected in the Annexure P-5. 5. The OMR sheet annexed at Annexure P-8, however, corresponds to the score of 185 marks obtained by the petitioner reflected in the scorecard annexed as Annexure P-6. 6. Mr. Khanna, learned standing counsel for the respondent No. 1, has handed over a sealed envelope containing the original OMR sheet of This is a digitally signed order. the petitioner. 7. I have perused the original OMR sheet tendered across the bar and the same also has been shown to the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as to the petitioner’s father, who is present in Court. 8. A perusal of the original OMR sheet shows that the said OMR sheet corresponds with Annexure P-8, resultantly corresponding with the total marks of the petitioner being 185. 9.
I am of the view that the original OMR sheet provided by Mr. Khanna, learned standing counsel, bears the impression of bubbling on the back of the sheet done using a pen for marking the answers. 10. Accordingly, the score of the petitioner as per Annexure P-6 is the correct score corresponding with the original OMR sheet. 11. Additionally, the QR code on the two scorecards, namely Annexure P-5 and Annexure P-6, when scanned, show the total marks of the petitioner as 185 out of 720, and not 536. 12. In view of the aforesaid observations, I am unable to find any merit in the petition and the same stands dismissed. 13. The original OMR sheet brought to Court today is returned to the learned standing counsel for the respondent No. 1. 14. The petition stands disposed of along with pending applications, if any.
