The petitioner was initially appointed as anganwadi helper in Karuchola – 3 anganwadi centre, Vankayalapadu sector, Nadendla project, Palnadu district vide proceedings dated 23.11.2020 of the 5th respondent and ever since, she has been discharging her duties without there being any remark. 3. As per G.O.Ms.No.21, dated 24.08.2007 and G.O.Rt.No.102, dated 28.03.2011, anganwadi helper of one anganwadi centre are eligible for appointment as anganwadi workers when the post of anganwadi worker falls vacant in the same anganwadi centre, subject to possessing certain educational qualifications. The post of anganwadi worker in Karuchola – 3 anganwadi centre, Vankayalapadu sector, Nadendla project fell vacant on 01.02.2025 as the said worker submitted her resignation. The petitioner, holding the post of anganwadi helper in the same anganwadi centre and having possessed all the 4 VS,J W.P.No.5115 of 2026 requisite qualifications to be promoted as anganwadi worker, submitted an application dated 21.07.2025 before the 5th respondent with a request to promote her to the post of anganwadi worker in Karuchola – 3 anganwadi centre, Vankayalapadu sector, Nadendla project, Palnadu district. Thereafter, on 19.01.2026, the petitioner has submitted a representation to the 3rd respondent requesting to consider her candidature. However, till date, the respondent authorities have not initiated any action pursuant to the application submitted by the petitioner. Aggrieved by the inaction of the respondents, the petitioner filed the present writ petition. 4. Heard Sri. Venkata Subbaiah Pogula, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Services – III. 5. Today when the writ petition came up for hearing, learned Government Pleader for Services – 2 furnished a copy of instructions of the 5th respondent vide RC No.74/JA/2024, dated 19.02.2026 wherein it is stated that pursuant to the representation submitted by the petitioner, the petitioner’s promotion to the post of anganwadi worker is pending consideration before the District Level Selection Committee (DLSC). 6. In view of the same, this writ petition is disposed of directed the 5th respondent to consider the petitioner’s promotion to the post of anganwadi worker at Karuchol – 3, Anganwadi centre code:0711097, Vankayalapadu sector, Nadendla project, Palanadu, pursuant to the application submitted by 5 VS,J W.P.No.5115 of 2026 the petitioner dated 21.07.2025 in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.21, dated 24.08.2007 and G.O.Rt.No.102, dated 28.03.2011, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7. Accordingly, with the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
