By the way of the present petition the petitioners are seeking quashing of FIR No. 662/2021, registered at Police Station Uttam Nagar, District Dwarka, Delhi, for offences punishable under Sections 451/354/323/506/34 of Indian Penal Code,1860 (hereinafter referred to as ‘IPC’), and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom on the basis of the settlement arrived at between the parties. 3. Issue notice. The learned APP for the State accepts notice on behalf of the State. 4. The petitioners and respondents nos. 2 and 3 are present before this This is a digitally signed order. Briefly stated, that FIR No. 662/2021 under Sections 451/354/323/506/34 IPC was registered at P.S. Uttam Nagar on the complaint of respondent No. 2, alleging that on 20.08.2021, the petitioners, along with others, entered her residence, assaulted her, outraged her modesty and threatened her family members. Upon completion of the investigation, a charge-sheet was filed against the petitioners. The matter is at the stage of prosecution evidence, with three out of seven witnesses having been examined. A cross-FIR No. 663/2021 under Sections 323/506/509/34 IPC was also registered against the complainant side, which was compounded vide order dated 28.06.2023. 6. The parties amicably settled their disputes vide Settlement-cum- Compromise Deed dated 11.11.2022. Respondent Nos. 2 and 3 have affirmed that the settlement is voluntary and that they have no objection to the quashing of the subject FIR and the proceedings emanating therefrom. 7. On a query made by this Court, respondent nos. 2 & 3 who have been duly identified by the IO, have categorically stated that they have entered into a compromise, vide Settlement Agreement dated 11.11.2022, out of his own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, respondents have no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 8. In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There This is a digitally signed order. Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, also stand(s) disposed of. 11.
