Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 8½ months and he is similarly placed with another accused person who has been granted bail. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail. Attention of the Court has been drawn to the seizure list witnesses from where the petitioner is seemed to have been running a studio. There are indications that the petitioner has been manufacturing the alleged birth certificates. Certain materials were produced from another accused which the petitioner claims makes him similarly placed as the one who has been granted bail but having considered the complicity of the present petitioner and that of the other accused who has been granted bail, I am of the view that the concept of parity is not applicable in the present case having regard to the degree of culpability involved. Accordingly, the 2 prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. Thus, CRM(M) 246 of 2026 is dismissed. Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.
