The present petition has been filed by the Petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, inter alia, seeking directions to the Respondents to change the category of the Petitioner in the provisional Certificate of Vending (hereinafter, ‘CoV’). 3. The case of the Petitioner is that she is a street vendor, who has been vending from the Hanuman Mandir compound, BK Singh Marg, New Delhi, This is a digitally signed order. The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. The Order is downloaded from the DHC Server on 29/08/2026 at 16:32:38 and claims to be selling puja samagri, flowers and bananas from the said site. 4. The Petitioner has been issued a provisional Certificate of Vending (hereinafter, ‘CoV’) bearing Vendor ID: V2025200839 under the category of ‘Fresh Fruits’ for Gole Market Zone. 5. The Petitioner prays for change of the category in the provisional CoV, as the provisional CoV mentions her category as ‘fresh fruits’, however, she is selling pooja samagri, flowers and bananas. 6. In the opinion of this Court, the change of category would have to be in terms of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014 and the same would have to be considered by the Town Vending Committee-II, upon being constituted. 7. Accordingly, let the Town Vending Committee-II consider the case of the Petitioner and take a decision, upon being constituted, within a period of three months. In the meantime, the Petitioner shall not be disturbed for vending in the wrong category, subject to adhering with the terms and conditions of the vending certificate already issued to her. 8.
