The present Petition, filed under Section 25-B(8) of the Delhi Rent Control Act, 1958 [“DRC Act”], seeks to assail the Order dated 28.02.2026 [“Impugned Order”] passed by the learned SCJ-cum-RC, East District, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi [“learned RC”] in Eviction Petition, bearing RC ARC No. 34/2023 [“Eviction Petition”], whereby, upon conclusion of the trial, the learned RC has passed an Order of Eviction against the Petitioner. 2. Learned counsel for the Petitioner, on instructions of the Petitioner, who is present in person, submits that the Petitioner does not wish to press the present Petition. 3. Learned counsel for the Petitioner, however, submits that the Petitioner prays that he may be permitted to retain the Subject premises till 31.03.2027. Learned counsel for the Respondent, on instructions, submits that he has no objection to the submissions and proposal made by learned counsel for the Petitioner. 5. Accordingly, the Petitioner is permitted to retain the subject premises till 31.03.2027, subject to the aforementioned terms and conditions. 6. The Petitioner is, accordingly, directed to file an Affidavit of Undertaking, setting out the aforementioned terms and conditions, within a period of two (02) weeks from today, failing which he shall be liable to vacate the premises forthwith. 7. It is also made clear that, in the event of breach of the said undertaking, the Respondent shall be liable to such action as may be permissible in law, including initiation of contempt proceedings against the Petitioner. 8.
