Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners contested the West Bengal Panchayat General Election, 2023 which was held on 8th July, 2023 and emerged as winners. Despite the same the election certificates (Form 24) have not been issued in their favour in terms of Rule 107(5) of the West Bengal Panchayat Elections Rules, 2006. Learned counsel for the State submits that several attempts were made to make over Form 24 to the petitioners but they were not collected. Upon consideration of the submission made on behalf of the parties, this Court directs that the petitioners shall appear before the 6th respondent within seven days from date and collect Form 24 from the said respondent. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall however, be no order as to costs. 2 Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
