The petitioner is an accused in connection with Sakchi P.S. Case No.177 of 2024. It has been alleged that on 20.08.2024 an extortion demand was made from the informant who was the Manager of Chhaganlal Dayaljee Sons Jewelers, Penar Road, Jamshedpur. Submission has been advanced by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is in custody since 27.09.2024. It has further been submitted that the SIM which was recovered was registered in the name of Veer Singh who has been granted bail by the learned court below. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner and has submitted that though the SIM was registered in the name of Veer Singh, but the same was recovered from the possession of the petitioner. On consideration of the period of custody undergone by the petitioner and that Veer Singh has been granted bail by the learned court below, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (rupees ten thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jamshedpur in connection with Sakchi P.S.
