By way of the present petition, the petitioner is seeking following prayers: ―a) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, including a writ of mandamus, directing Respondent No.2 to receive, process ‗and forward/recommend the applications of the Petitioners for participation in ail forthcoming Government-sponsored handloom exhibitions/trade fairs covered by the Annual Marketing Calendar 2026—27, as and when applications are invited, in accordance with the prescribed procedure and eligibility criteria; b) Direct Respondent No.1/competent authority to thereafter consider the This is a digitally signed order. applications of the Petitioners for such forthcoming exhibitions/trade fairs on merits and in accordance with Iaw, along with other‘ similarly situated eligible applicants; c) Direct the Respondents not to treat the mere pendemcy of any show-cause proceedings, in the absence of a final order passed by the competent authority, as a disqualification or debarment for the purpose of preventing the Petitioners from submitting, processing or having their applications considered in accordance with the prescribed procedure; d) Direct the Respondents to apply the prescribed eligibility criteria and procedure uniformly to the Petitioners and other similarly situated eligible handloom entities in the matter of receipt, processing, recommendation and
consideration of their applications;‖
4. Issue notice. The learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of respondents.
5. After hearing learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties and having regard to the issue involved in the present petition, this Court finds it appropriate to direct that the present petition be treated as a representation on behalf of the petitioner. The respondents are directed to consider and decide the same fairly and objectively, upon receipt thereof, and pass a reasoned order within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt, under intimation to the petitioner.
6. In above terms, the present petition along with pending application stands disposed of.
7. In case of any further grievance, the petitioner will be at liberty to approach this Court.
8. The order be uploaded on the website forthwith.
