Sri Deepak Verma, the Inspector General, CISFES Head Quarters Ranchi, CISF Campus, PO & PS-Dhurwa, Dist- Ranchi, Jharkhand. … … Opposite Party(s) ------ CORAM : SRI ANANDA SEN, J. ------ For the Petitioner(s) : Mr. Satyaban Behera (Petitioner present in person) For the Opp. Party(s) : Mr. Prabhat Kr. Sinha, Senior Panel Counsel ------ 08/ 12th June, 2026 1. Heard the petitioner in-person. 2. The petitioner goes on arguing and submits that the order which has been passed pursuant to the final order passed in WP(S) No.2807 of 2025 is wrong and thus this Court in contempt jurisdiction may set aside the same and pass a favourable order in favour of the petitioner. He argues on the merit/demerit of the order. 3. This petitioner is arguing in-person, his knowledge of law, specially of contempt jurisdiction cannot be matched with that of an advocate. He is not in a position to understand that this Court in contempt jurisdiction cannot set aside any order even if there is any irregularity in the same or the same is erroneous. 4. However, since an order has been passed, which is against the petitioner, the same even if it is erroneous or not proper, cannot be interfered with or set aside in a contempt jurisdiction by this Court. The petitioner has to challenge the same by filing a writ petition. This Court cannot assume the jurisdiction of Article 226 of the Constitution of India while sitting in contempt jurisdiction and decide the legality, propriety of the order which has been passed. 5. Since an order has been passed, no contempt is made 2026:JHHC:17052 2 out, accordingly, this contempt application is dropped. The petitioner is at a liberty to file a fresh writ petition. 6. Pending IAs, if any, stand disposed of. (ANANDA SEN, J.) 12.06.2026 S.K.D/CP-2 Uploaded on 16.06.2026
