JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER The prayer in the writ petition is to issue a writ of mandamus directing respondent No.2 - Deputy Commissioner, Chikkamagaluru District to consider the - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:12318 WP No. 4560 of 2026 application dated 15.07.2025 filed by the petitioner seeking lease of plantation lands under Section 94E of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act. It is contented by the petitioner that in terms of the circular at Annexure-A dated 12.03.2024, the petitioner has filed an application and no orders are passed by the competent authority till date. 2. Learned High Court Government Pleader submits on instructions that the applications were to be filed online and the petitioner has not filed online application. Nevertheless, it is submitted that having regard to the circular issued by the State Government on 12.03.2024, the State Government is considering the manner in which the applications have to be considered and disposed of and in terms of the direction that could be issued by the State Government, all the Deputy Commissioners in the State will proceed to consider the applications and dispose of the same in accordance with law. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:12318 WP No. 4560 of 2026 3.
