JUSTICE B M SHYAM PRASAD - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:8014 WP No. 23731 of 2025 ORAL ORDER The petitioner is aggrieved by the fourth respondent's order dated 16.09.2024 [Annexure-D] and the fourth respondent, by this order, has informed the petitioner that in terms of the permission accorded under Paragraph No.1059[5] of the Police Manual [Volume-II], his name is entered in the Register of Rowdies because of the pending proceedings in Crime Nos.209/2014 and 236/2014. 2. The petitioner has placed on record the copies of the Judgments in CC No.375/2014 dated 02.12.2019 and in CC No.1108/2016 dated 24.09.2019 on the file of the I Additional Civil Judge and JMFC, Kanakapura, to assert that he is acquitted. The outcome in these proceedings are seen and even the fourth respondent has caused a communication with the office of Smt Saritha Kulkarni, the learned Additional Government Advocate which is perused. The petitioner has been - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:8014 WP No. 23731 of 2025 acquitted of the offences alleged in both the proceedings and there is no reference to a further proceedings against the petitioner. This court, on a careful consideration of these circumstances, is of the view that there must be appropriate direction to the fourth respondent for removal of the petitioner's name from the Register of Rowdies, but without prejudice to the fourth respondent to take appropriate action if the petitioner's conduct subsequent to this order so justifies. In the light of the afore, the following: ORDER The petition is allowed directing the fourth respondent, once the petitioner files an affidavit of good conduct along with a certified copy of this order, to delete the name of the petitioner from the Register of Rowdies.
