1. Petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking following reliefs:
“10.1 That this Hon'ble court may kindly be pleased to issue a writ of Mandamus (or any other appropriate writ or direction) directing Respondent No. 1 and Respondent No. 2 to consider and pass a compassionate appointment order in favour of the petitioner, Tuleshwari Chandrakar, in accordance with the applicable rules and the statutory provisions governing compassionate appointments, and to do so within a specified period (preferably 30 days from the date of this order); 10.2 That the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to grant such other and further relief as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case and in the interests of justice.”

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that father of petitioner while working as Driver under respondent No.2/Corporation died in harness on 17.03.2018. Petitioner thereafter submitted an application for grant of compassionate appointment in prescribed format on 01.01.2025. However, till date, no decision on petitioner’s application for grant of compassionate appointment is taken and therefore direction be issued to respondent No.2 to take decision on pending application at the earliest within specified time.

Learned counsel for the State/respondent No.1 submits that grievance of petitioner is against respondent No.2.
4. On due consideration of submission of learned counsel for the parties, without entering into merits of case this writ petition at this stage is

disposed of directing respondent No.2 to take decision on pending application of petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably within a further period of 3 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
