HIGH COURT OF TRIPURA AGARTALA CRP No.02/2026 Sri Prasenjit Deb, S/O. Sri Ajoy Deb, Resident of Uttar Maheshpur, P.S.- Jatrapur, Dist-Sepahijala, Tripura. ……… Petitioner(s). V E R S U S Smt. Priya Majumder (Deb), W/O. Sri Prasenjit Deb, D/O. Sri Bishweshwar Majumder, Presently resided at Nidaya, Tindhepa, P.S.-Jatrapur, Dist.-Sepahijala, Tripura. ………Respondent(s). For Petitioner(s) : Ms. Uttara Singha, Advocate. For Respondent(s) : Mr. Dipak Deb, Advocate, Mr. Diptanu Debnath, Advocate. HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE MR. M.S. RAMACHANDRA RAO Order 27/03/2026 Heard both sides. 2. This Revision is filed challenging the order dt.12.12.2025 of the Judge, Family Court, Sonamura, Sepahijala Tripura closing the evidence for the plaintiff in T.S. (Div.) No.02 of 2024 on the ground that the petitioner was not present and had not taken any step for cross-examination of certain witnesses, who had deposed on his behalf or who had to appear for cross-examination. 3. The Court below, in my opinion, should have granted one more opportunity to the petitioner to take the appropriate step necessary to enable cross-examination of his witnesses, who had to be cross-examined, instead of closing the evidence on 12.12.2025 on that pretext. 4. Therefore, this Revision is allowed. The order dt.12.12.2025 of the Judge, Family Court, Sonamura, Sepahijala Tripura is set aside and the Court below is directed to give opportunity to the petitioner to take the necessary steps for cross-examination of the remaining witnesses for the petitioner by the other side on 18.04.2026. 5. The Revision Petition is disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, also stands disposed of. (M.S.
