The petitioner, above-named, who is in custody in connection with POCSO Case No.12 of 2025 (arising out of Kharsawan P.S. Case No.41 of 2025) for the offences registered under Sections 75(3), 79, 351(2), 351(3), 115(2), 118(1) of the BNS, 2023 and Section 12 of the POCSO Act, 2012 has prayed for regular bail. Informant is the mother of the victim girl who used to be pressurized to have physical relationship with the physical relationship. On refusal he threatened her of dire consequence. When this was confided by the victim girl to her mother, she confronted the petitioner at which she was assaulted by the petitioner resulting into grievous injury. It is submitted by the learned counsel on behalf of petitioner that the petitioner is languishing in custody since 24.05.2025 and he has no criminal antecedent. Learned A.P.P. for the State has opposed the prayer for bail. It is submitted that the petitioner is named in the FIR and there is specific and direct allegation against him.
