This contempt petition has been filed for initiation of contempt proceeding alleging willful deliberate disobedience and non- compliance of the order dated 02.09.2022 passed by this Court in W.P.(S) No. 6172 of 2010. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the order dated 02.09.2022 passed in W.P.(S) No. 6172 of 2010 has not been complied with in letter and spirit. He submits that no opportunity of hearing has been granted to the petitioner. 4. Learned counsel for the opposite party-CCL submits that as per the order of this Court, the representation was to be filed within a period of three months from the date of order, but the earliest representation which has been annexed along with the contempt petition is dated 26.11.2024. 5. He further submits that as per the reasoned order, in spite of repeated letters issued to the petitioner at the given address, the same returned unserved and one letter issued by the office addressed to the petitioner vide reference no. 17 dated 09.06.2025 was received by him on 19.06.2025 which was mentioned in his letter dated 15.07.2025. The learned counsel submits that since the petitioner did not appear 2026:JHHC:17031 2 for hearing, the order has been passed on the basis of the materials available on record and no contempt is made out. He has also submitted that the contempt case itself has been filed after more than one year from the date of the order passed in the writ petition. 6. After hearing the learned counsels for the parties and considering the fact that a reasoned order has been passed indicating non-participation of the petitioner and the earliest representation which has been filed by the petitioner in the record is dated 26.11.2024, although the petitioner was directed to file a representation within three months from the date of order in the writ petition, this Court is not inclined to proceed any further in this contempt proceedings. Accordingly, the contempt proceedings are hereby dropped. 7. However, if the petitioner has any grievance in connection with the reasoned order, he may take steps as may be permissible under law.
