Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner, who is the owner of 15 acres and 32 guntas of land in Sy.No.50, 51/1 and Gramatana No.697 of Pattanduru Agrahara Village, Krishnarajapuram Hobli, Bangalore East Taluk, has given a representation to respondent No.3 - Deputy Commissioner, Bangalore Urban District to grant 2 acres of B-karab land which is situated in the midst of the lands belonging to the petitioner, in terms of Section 69-A of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964. 3. However this Court finds that the second proviso to Section 69-A has been amended by Act No.28 of 2025 with effect from 07.04.2025, that such lands which are landlocked and B-karab lands, which are within the distance of 18 kilometres from the limits of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike and up to 5 kilometres from the limits of the other City Corporations or Municipalities "shall not be disposed of by the Government". - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:20467 WP No. 10768 of 2026 4.
