JUSTICE SOUMITRA SAIKIA ORDER 20.03 .2026 Heard learned counsel for the parties. 2. The petitioner is aggrieved that the respondent authorities have not released the petitioner’s arrear salary for the period of 01.12.2025 to till date. Notwithstanding the fact that the petitioner is still continuing his service. The further grievance of the petitioner is that during the pendency of the writ petition the current salary shall be directed to be release. 3. Mr. S. Bora, learned counsel appears for the all the respondents submit that without instructions, he is unable to assess the Court as to why the salary is not being received. 4. Upon consideration of the limited prayer of the writ petitioner and upon perusal of the pleadings available before the Court it is seen that the writ petitioner claims to be working under the respondent authority on contractual basis for the post of Assistant Operations Engineer (Sewerage). Although the contractual service initially was for a period of one year, as is reflected in the order dated 18.08.2015, the same was extended from time to time and he is still rendering his services. However his salary has not been release yet, therefore the petitioner is before this Court. 5. In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner, this Court is of the Page No.# 3/3 considered view that the matter will require examination at the hands of the respondent authorities, and upon due verification if it is found that the petitioner is still working under the respondent authority for the relevant period of time, then the authority shall release his salary as per his entitlement including any arrear salary that is required to be paid to the writ petitioner. 6. Accordingly, let the authorities to conduct necessary verification and pass appropriate orders within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 7.
