The instant writ application has been preferred by the petitioner praying therein for a direction upon the respondent-authorities to consider the name of the petitioner for Presidential police medal, recognizing his courageous and brave role played in the special operation which was conducted on 28.06.2012. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondents may be directed to consider the case of the petitioner for presidential police medal in accordance with law. 2026:JHHC:17240 2 4. Learned counsel for the respondent submits that the petitioner may approach before the respondent No.2 - Director General, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), New Delhi, for redressal of his claim. 5. Having regard to the aforesaid submission, the instant writ application is hereby, disposed of by directing the petitioner to approach the respondent No.2 -Director General, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), New Delhi by filing a fresh representation along with all relevant documents within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6. The moment 2nd respondent receives the representation; he shall take a decision in the matter and consider the case of the petitioner for the award of the presidential police medal in accordance with law, rules and applicable regulations. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of such representation. 7. Accordingly, the instant writ application stands disposed of. Pending I.
