1. By way of the present application, the applicant seeks early hearing of the above-captioned writ petition.
2. For the reasons mentioned in the application; the submission of the
learned counsel that the matter could not be taken up for last two dates of hearing and notice could not be issued to the respondents, the prayer in the application stands allowed and the matter is taken up for hearing, today. 3. The application stands disposed of. W.P.(C) 7519/2026

By way of the present petition, the petitioner seeks following reliefs: ―1 . to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the Respondents to conduct a thorough, independent, and preferably court-monitored investigation into This is a digitally signed order. the circulation of contaminated and counterfeit liquor within the National Capital Territory of Delhi, and to identify and take action against all persons and entities responsible for the same;
2. direct the Respondent authorities to immediately undertake comprehensive inspection drives, including seizure and laboratory testing of liquor samples available across licensed vends, and to take strict enforcement action in accordance with law; 3 direct the Respondent authorities to immediately stop and prohibit the sale of the all liquors brands being manufactured by Respondent No.4. 4 direct the Respondent No. 4 to disclose the steps taken by it to prevent counterfeiting of its products, to implement robust anti- counterfeiting mechanisms, to issue public advisories warning consumers, and to recall any defective or suspect batches from the market...‖
5. Issue notice. The learned counsel appearing on advance notice on behalf of respondent no.1 accepts notice. 6. After hearing learned counsels appearing on behalf of the parties and in view of the issue involved in the instant petition, this Court finds it appropriate to direct that the present petition, filed by the petitioner, be treated as representation and the same be decided by the respondents, within a period of eight weeks from date, under intimation to the petitioner herein. 7. In above terms, the present petition stands disposed of. 8. In case of any further grievance, the petitioners will be at liberty to approach this Court by filing fresh writ petition. 9.
