Mr. Neeraj Sharma, learned counsel and Mr. Y.P.S. Dhaulta, learned Additional Advocate General, appear and waive service of notice on behalf of respondents No.1 and 2 & 3, respectively. The case set up by the petitioner is that she has been duly elected as Mayor of the Municipal Corporation, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh on 29.06.2026, however, till date, respondent No.3- Deputy Commissioner, Mandi has neglected to discharge his 1 Whether reporters of print and electronic media may be allowed to see the order? Yes 2 statutory powers in administrating oath to the petitioner, consequently, depriving the petitioner to assume charge of the post of Mayor, M.C., Mandi. The petitioner has been thus, deprived from discharging her functions attached to the office of Mayor, M.C., Mandi. Let respondent No.3 to do needful in accordance with law by the next date. Learned Deputy Advocate General has placed on record office instructions dated 18.07.2026 from the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Mandi, conveying that elections of Mayor and Deputy Mayor were notified on 15.07.2026 and published in the Official Gazette of State of Himachal Pradesh on 16.07.2026. Oath to newly elected Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Municipal Corporation, Mandi was given on 17.07.2026. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of above office instructions, the grievance of the petitioner has now been redressed. Taking note of above, the present writ petition to stand disposed of as the grievance of the petitioner now stands redressed. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, also stand disposed of.
