This hearing has been done through hybrid mode. 2. The Petitioner, who is a street vendor, seeks directions to the Respondents to finalise and notify the vending plan under Section 21 of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014. 3. This Court is already considering a batch of matters, the lead matter being W.P.(C) 8479/2023 titled ‘Chandni Chowk Sarvvyapar Mandal and This is a digitally signed order. The recent development, as per the status report filed by the New Delhi Municipal Council (hereinafter, ‘NDMC’) in this case is that the survey of old Tehbazari holders, Thareja Committee verified vendors and Kashmiri migrants is underway. 5. In addition, it is stated that 200 additional vending sites are required and the Delhi Police has been approached by the NDMC for identification of additional vending sites. 6. Let the Delhi Police and NDMC undertake the requisite steps on an urgent basis, inasmuch as the finalisation of the vending plan is extremely crucial for the whole of Delhi, including the NDMC areas. 7. The Delhi Police shall in co-ordination with the NDMC undertake the exercise of identification of additional sites, and the NDMC shall finalize the vending plan and re-submit the same to the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi on an urgent basis. 8. The status report filed by the NDMC is taken on record. 9. No further orders are required in this matter. 10. The petition is disposed of in the above terms.
