In compliance with the order dated 17.03.2026, an inspection is conducted and the inspection report has been placed on record - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:19381-DB WP No. 6719 of 2026 by the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority [DLSA], Udupi. The said report is taken on record. 2. While it does appear from the inspection report that the industry was found to be by and large not polluting. However, certain deficiencies are stated to have been found. 3. More importantly, the report submitted by the DLSA records that all residents residing in the vicinity of the area had confirmed that at certain times extremely foul smell emanates from the unit. 4. The inspection report does not indicate that the cause for such foul smell has been identified. 5. The learned counsel appearing for the KSPCB submits that after the report prepared by it, a show cause notice would be issued and appropriate order/s would be passed after considering the response from the industry. He also states that if necessary, an expert report may be called for. 6. In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed in this petition. 7.
