B E F O R E HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE MICHAEL ZOTHANKHUMA ORDER
15.10.2026
Heard Mr. T.Lalzekima, learned counsel for the Applicant/ Review petitioner who submits that there is a delay of 299 days in filing the application for review, pursuant to the liberty being given to the applicant, vide Order dated 24.02.2025 passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, in SLP (Civil) Diary No (s). 50237/2024. Ms. H. Lalrosangi, learned counsel appearing for respondent No. 1 and Ms. Caroline K. Lungawipuii, learned Government Advocate for respondent No. 3
Page No.# 4/4 submit that there is an unexplained delay of 51 days in filing the Review Petition and the same should be dismissed. A perusal of the Order dated 24.02.2025 passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in SLP (Civil) Diary No(s). 50237/2024 shows that liberty has been granted to the applicant to file a review before this Court and also reserving the applicant’s right to file an SLP, in case the Review Petition is dismissed.
On considering the grounds for the delay made out in Paragraph 2 of the application, I find that sufficient cause for the delay has been made out. The delay is accordingly condoned. The I.A.(Civil) No. 80 of 2025 is accordingly allowed. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
