2. The case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, in view of the financial disputes between the owner of De facto complainant and one Kotapa Suresh, on 28.01.2026 at 4.00 p.m., when the De facto complainant along with one Uppuluri Ramesh, who is the son-in-law of his owner, were conversing with the Accused, who was engaged by the other side as a mediator, the Accused behaved high handedly, abused and assaulted them. Accused also cut on the left hand thumb to arm of the De facto complainant with a knife and caused severe bleeding injury.
3. Heard Sri J.Ravi Kumar, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Sri K.Sandeep, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor for State/Respondent.
4.
Learned counsel for the Petitioner would submit that the alleged argument was started by the De facto complainant and in the altercation that was going on between the Petitioner and said Ramesh, the De facto complainant intervened and was injured. Learned counsel would further submit that no offence has been committed by the Petitioner and the Petitioner is falsely implicated in the present crime. Learned counsel would submit that the Petitioner is ready to furnish sureties to the satisfaction of the Court. Hence, prayed to grant anticipatory bail to the Petitioner.
5. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor opposed the petition and would submit that there are specific allegations against the Petitioner and that the Petitioner intentionally caused severe bleeding injury to the De facto complainant and is not self-inflicted. It is further submitted that no case is

made out for grant of anticipatory bail to the Petitioner at this stage. Hence, prayed for dismissal of the petition.
6. This Court has considered the rival submissions and perused the materials available on record. The complaint discloses specific allegations against the Petitioner attributing overt acts resulting in a grievous bleeding injury to the De facto complainant. The nature of the injury and the manner in which it is alleged to have been caused prima facie indicate active involvement of the Petitioner. At this stage of investigation, this Court cannot enter into a detailed appreciation of the defence put forth by the Petitioner that the injury was sustained during intervention.
7. Considering the seriousness of the allegations, the nature of the injury sustained by the De facto complainant, and the stage of investigation, this Court is of the view that the Petitioner has not made out a case for grant of anticipatory bail.
8. In the result, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.
As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
