3. By way of the instant petition, the petitioner seeks following reliefs:
“a) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, directing the learned Maintenance Tribunal, Additional District Magistrate, West District, Rajouri Garden, Delhi, to decide the Petitioner's complaint filed on 05.03.2024 pending under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, within a fixed and time-bound period, preferably within eight weeks, in accordance with law. b) Direct the learned Maintenance Tribunal to proceed with the pending complaint filed on 05.03.2024 on a day-to-day basis, or on such dates as may be necessary, and to avoid unnecessary adjournments, except for reasons beyond the This is a digitally signed order. control of the parties. c) Direct the learned Maintenance Tribunal to consider and decide all pending applications, if any, including any application seeking interim relief, strictly in accordance with law and without any avoidable delay...”
4. No one appeared on behalf of the respondents, when the matter was taken up for hearing. 5. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner had filed a complaint before the Maintenance Tribunal under the Senior Citizens Act, 2007, on 05.03.2024. She had also filed one interim maintenance application, however, the same is also pending adjudication before the said Tribunal since 27.04.2025 and no order has been passed. 6. After hearing learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and in view of the issue involved in the instant petition, this Court finds it appropriate to direct that complaint filed by the petitioner be decided within a period of eight weeks from date, under intimation to the petitioner herein. 7. In above terms, the present petition stands disposed of. 8.
In case of any further grievance, the petitioner will be at liberty to approach this Court by filing fresh writ petition. 9. The order be uploaded on the website forthwith. DR.
