JUSTICE M.NAGAPRASANNA ORAL ORDER The petitioners are before this Court calling in question the registration of a crime in Crime No.24/2026 for offences punishable under Sections 318(2), 318(4), 351(2), 352 read with Section 3(5) of the BNS, 2023. 2. Heard Sri. Murthy D.L., learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, Sri. Channappa Earappa, learned HCGP appearing for respondent No.1, Sri. Darshan H.P., learned counsel appearing for respondent No.2 and have perused the material on record. 3. During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties to the lis have settled the dispute among themselves and have filed a compounding application along with the joint application. Hence, the Petitioners and 2nd Respondent submit as follows:- The Petitioners and 2nd Respondent submit that the 2nd Respondent has filed complaint before the 1st Respondent Police and registered the FIR in crime No.24/2026, for the offenses punishable under sections 318(2), 318(4), 351(2) and 352(5) of BNS, Now which is pending on the file of Senior Civil judge and JMFC, Nagamangala, Mandya District against the Petitioners. The Petitioners and their well-wishers and the 2nd Respondent and his family members have settled the matter amicably out of the court. The complainant has no objection to quash the proceedings in crime No.24/2026, which is pending on the file of Senior Civil judge and JMFC, Nagamangala, Mandya District. - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:14936 CRL.P No. 3650 of 2026 In view of the settlement between parties the first Respondent undertakes to withdraw the present case, whatever allegation is made in the complainant in crime No.24/2026, which is pending on the file of Senior Civil judge and JMFC, Nagamangala, Mandya District is withdrawn. The Petitioners and 2nd Respondent herein submit before this Hon'ble court may be pleased to compound the offences and quash the proceedings in crime No.24/2026, which is pending on the file of Senior Civil judge and JMFC, Nagamangala, Mandya District. The Petitioners and 2nd Respondent submit before this Hon'ble court withdraw any force, coercion or undue influence from anybody. Therefore the Petitioners and 2nd Respondent made up their mind to settle their marital dispute before this Hon'ble Court. Wherefore the Petitioners and 2nd respondent prays that before this Hon'ble court may be pleased to quash the proceedings in crime No.24/2026, for the offenses punishable under sections 318(2), 318(4), 351(2) and 352(5) of BNS, Now which is pending on the file of Senior Civil judge and JMFC, Nagamangala, Mandya District." 4. For the aforesaid reasons, the following: ORDER i. Criminal Petition is disposed. ii. Proceedings in Crime No.24/2026 pending before the Senior Civil Judge and JMFC, Nagamangala, Mandya District, stand quashed qua these petitioners.
