2. Mr. Vijay Khanduri, learned Brief Holder, for the State of Uttarakhand/1 to 4.
3. The present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India filed by the Petitioner for a direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the Respondent authorities to immediately provide adequate police protection/security to the Petitioner and his family members in view of the existing threat perception.
4. The present matter relates to threat perception and the relief is for police protection for the Petitioner. As per
learned counsel for the Petitioner though police protection had been granted earlier, but it was withdrawn somehow.
5. In view thereof, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the Respondent authorities i.e. Respondent No.2 to assess the threat perception as apprehended by the Petitioner, and thereafter, if need be police protection may be provided to the Petitioner, in accordance with law.
