Heard the parties. 2. The petitioner claims that the sub-caste of the ward of the petitioner be entered in the school register. 3. It his grievance that in school register, he has just only been shown as a Muslim but the sub-caste has not been entered. Thus, he wants that a Mandamus be issued against the school. 4. The school is respondent No.4 i.e., Jamshedpur Public School, Panchavati Road, New Baridih, Jamsedpur, which is absolutely a private school. It is a private entity and is not State under Article 12 of the Constitution of India. Thus, no Mandamus can be issued against respondent No.4. The petitioner may avail alternative remedy. 5.
