ORAL ORDER The petitioner has challenged the proceedings launched against him in Crl.Mis.No.275/2026 filed under Section 144 of Bharatiya Nyaya Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) 2023 pending on the file of the II Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Mysuru.
2. When this petition was listed for admission, the
learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner and the respondent have settled their matrimonial dispute in a petition filed in M.C.No.405/2024 filed under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 read with Section 7 of the Family Courts Act, 1984. The Family Court vide its order dated 28.10.2024 allowed M.C.No.405/2024 and dissolved the marriage between the petitioner and the respondent.

3. In that view of the matter, continuation of the criminal proceedings against the petitioner is unwarranted.
4. Consequently, this petition is allowed. The proceedings against the petitioner in Crl.Mis.No.275/2026 filed under Section 144 of Bharatiya Nyaya Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) 2023 pending on the file of the II Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Mysuru is quashed.
5. In view of disposal of the petition, pending I.As., if any, do not survive for consideration and the same stand
disposed off.
