In this writ application the petitioner has prayed for quashing of the entire criminal proceedings instituted by the father of the respondent no.2 against the petitioner and his parents being Radhanagar P.S. Case No.121 of 2026. It has been submitted by Mr. Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner and the victim (respondent no.2) have solemnized marriage and therefore no fruitful purpose will be served in continuing with the criminal proceedings instituted against the petitioner. Mr. Pran Pranay, learned counsel appearing for the respondent no.3 has supported the factum of marriage between the respondent no.3 and the petitioner and he also does not have any objection, if the entire criminal proceedings are quashed. It appears that admittedly the respondent no.3 was a minor at the time of incident and subsequently on gaining majority she is said to have solemnized marriage with the petitioner. At this juncture when the investigation is at the initial stage and considering the fact that the respondent no.3 was a minor at the time of 2 the incident, I am not inclined to entertain this writ application which accordingly stands disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner to raise all these points at an appropriate stage before the learned trial court.
