By way of the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents, particularly respondent No. 2, to process and issue an International Passport in favour of the petitioner. The petitioner further prays for a direction to the respondents to take a final decision on the petitioner's passport application dated 24.02.2025 within a stipulated time. 02. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had submitted an application for issuance of an International Passport bearing File No. SG1060758835225 on 24.02.2025 before respondent No. 2. It is contended that despite the lapse of considerable time and repeated requests made by the petitioner, the said application has not yet been processed or decided by the competent authority. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would feel satisfied if the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2 to consider and decide the petitioner's application dated 24.02.2025 within a reasonable period. Having regard to the submissions advanced by learned counsel for the parties and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2 to consider and decide the petitioner's application for issuance of an International Passport, bearing File No. SG1060758835225, in accordance with law, by passing a reasoned and speaking order, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of passing of this order. 05.
