Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record. 2. Learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that there was matrimonial discord which gave rise to criminal prosecution being Daspur Police Station Case No.199/22 dated 20th May, 2022 under Sections 498A /323 /325 /307 /506 / 34 of IPC and 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act. Prayer is made in this writ petition for giving direction upon the police authorities in order to maintain peace and tranquility at the place where petitioner resides. 3. However, writ petition is opposed by the learned advocates representing the respondent no.4 and State respondents. 4. It is submitted on behalf of the respondent no.4 that due to marital discord respondent no.4 is staying separately and a proceeding under the relevant provisions of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 was initiated before the jurisdictional forum and certain directions were made including payment of sum. 5. It is submitted that warrant of arrest was issued in connection with the said proceeding pending before the forum under Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 against the petitioner. 6. It is further submitted that petitioner is the principal accused in the criminal prosecution being Daspur Police Station Case No.199/22 dated 20th May, 2022. 7. Learned advocate representing the State respondents has filed a communication dated 6th April, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, Daspur Police Station, Paschim Medinipur and same is taken on record. 8. It is disclosed in the communication dated 6th April, 2026 that in connection with aforesaid criminal prosecution charge-sheet being No.279/22 dated 14th July, 2022 was submitted before the jurisdictional Magistrate on concluding investigation. 9. According to the State respondents principal accused is petitioner in the aforesaid criminal prosecution. 10. Since petitioner is principal accused in the 2 criminal prosecution being Daspur Police Station Case No.199/22 dated 20th May, 2022 and there is non-disclosure of initiation of proceeding under Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 at the instance of respondent no.4, this Court is not inclined to interfere with this writ petition and same stands dismissed. 11.
