By way of the present petition, the petitioner is seeking quashing of FIR No. 305/2024, registered at Police Station Lahori Gate, Delhi, for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereinafter referred to as the ‘IPC’), and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom qua the Petitioner, on the basis of the This is a digitally signed order. The Petitioner and Respondent No. 3 are present before this Court and have been duly identified by their respective counsel and the Investigating Officer (‘IO’). 6. The Petitioner and Respondent No. 3 are real brothers. The present FIR arises out of a family/property dispute between them in relation to property bearing Municipal No. 650, situated at Gali Ghanteshwar, Katra Neel, Chandni Chowk, Second Floor, Delhi. The parties have since amicably resolved their disputes vide Memorandum of Understanding (‘MOU’) dated 12.08.2026. In terms thereof, Respondent No. 3 has agreed to the quashing of the present FIR qua the Petitioner, and the Petitioner has agreed to hand over vacant and peaceful physical possession of the aforesaid property to Respondent No. 3 upon quashing of the FIR. 7. On a query made by this Court, Respondent No. 3 has categorically stated that he has entered into the aforesaid settlement vide MOU dated 12.08.2026 out of his own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, he has no objection if the present FIR is quashed qua the Petitioner. 8. In view of the fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in the interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto qua the Petitioner. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question qua the Petitioner. This is a digitally signed order.
