( 2026:JHHC:16444 ) Dated: 9th June, 2026 Vedanti/- Uploaded on 10th June, 2026 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI Criminal Revision No. 555 of 2026 1. Manjit Oraon 2. Mantu Oraon 3. Akash Oraon @ Aakesh Oraon 4. Sundram Oraon 5. Kharidan Oraon @ Krishna Kumar ... Petitioners Versus The State of Jharkhand … Opposite Party --- CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY For the Petitioners : Mr. Gautam Kumar, Advocate For the State : Mr. Rajesh Kumar, A.P.P. --- Order No. 02/ Dated: 9th June, 2026 Heard Mr. Gautam Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioners and learned A.P.P. 2. This application is directed against the order dated 29.04.2026 passed by the learned Additional Session Judge-I, Latehar in Criminal Appeal No. 35 of 2026 in connection with Manika P.S. Case No. 62 of 2025 whereby and whereunder the prayer for bail of the petitioners during the pendency of the appeal has been rejected. 3. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners are in custody since 17.06.2025. It has further been submitted that the medical report is not supportive of the allegation of rape committed upon the victim. 4. Learned A.P.P. for the State has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioners made in this application. 5. It appears from the evidence of the victim that she was subjected to rape by the petitioners and the medical report has assessed the age of the victim to be 14-15 years. It further appears that there was an old hymen rupture found on the person of the victim which would be suggestive of the aggravated penetrative assault committed upon her by the petitioners. The learned Appellate Court has considered the gravity of the offence committed by the petitioners while rejecting the prayer for bail of the petitioners during the pendency of the appeal vide impugned order dated 29.04.2026. I do not find any reasons to conclude otherwise, and consequently, this Revision Application stands dismissed. (RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY, J.)
