Heard Sri. Chethan B., learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Smt. Sowmya R., learned HCGP appearing for the respondent and have perused the material on record. 3. The petitioner, the accused, waking up from deep slumber has now approached this Court calling in question an order dated 06.12.2026, by which, a communication by the Investigating Officer to add an additional witness and consider the evidence, is allowed. 4. It is too late in the day for the petitioner to approach this Court challenging an order of 10 years vintage. In that light, learned counsel would now submit that, if a direction is issued for conclusion of the proceedings, it would suffice, as the issue is of the year 2014. 5. Since 12 years have passed by, I deem it appropriate to infuse finality into the proceedings with a direction to the concerned Court to endeavour to conclude the proceedings within an outer limit of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, in accordance with law. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:21464 CRL.P No. 4794 of 2026 With the aforesaid observations, the petition stands disposed.
