This is an ofÏce reference. 2. This Court, vide order dated 24.11.2023 passed in MCRC No. 6928 of 2023, while allowing the bail to the applicant, namely, Amol Ali, had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months, if there was no legal impediment. 3. Earlier on four occasions also, this Court had granted extension of KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN 2 time for compliance of the order dated 24.11.2023. 4. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Bilaspur District-Bilaspur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 08.01.2026 has requested for grant of four months time for concluding the trial. 5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that the remaining chief examination and cross-examination of the Investigating OfÏcer in the case are yet to be conducted. Summons/bailable warrants/arrest warrants for securing the presence of prosecution witnesses are issued through the Nodal OfÏcer, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Headquarters, Bilaspur. The witnesses do not appear on time. A total of 261 NDPS cases are pending before the trial Court, out of which 38 cases are time-bound pending matters, for whose disposal continuous efforts are being made. Therefore, it is humbly submitted that the request be allowed and an additional period of four months be graciously granted. 6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today. 7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 8.
