The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Bariyatu P.S. Case No.20 of 2025, for the alleged offences registered under Sections 17(b), 22(b) and 29 of N.D.P.S. Act pending in the Court of learned Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, NDPS, Latehar. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the name of the petitioner has come only on the confessional statement and the petitioner has nothing to do with the opium. He further submits that false allegations are made that apprehended accused persons were going to handover the said opium to the petitioner. He then submits that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent as disclosed in paragraph No.18 of the petition. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the State opposed the prayer 2026:JHHC:16400 --2-- A.B.A. No. 2907 of 2026 and submits that the name of the petitioner has come on the confessional statement. 5. Considering that the name of the petitioner has come on the confessional statement and the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent as disclosed in paragraph No.18 of the petition and the only allegation is made that the apprehended co-accused persons were going to handover the said opium to the petitioner. In the attending facts and circumstances of this case, I am inclined to provide anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is hereby directed to surrender before the learned Court within three weeks from today, and in the event of his surrender/arrest, the petitioner, above named, shall be released on bail, on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand), with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Sessions Judge- cum-Special Judge, NDPS, Latehar in connection with Bariyatu P.S.
