The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that his application seeking appointment on compassionate basis after the demise of his father, who was an employee of the respondents, has not been decided till date. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the father of the petitioner was serving as a regular Beldar when he 2 died on harness on 08.11.2020. Thereafter, the petitioner applied for appointment on compassionate basis on 13.10.2021, till date nothing has been heard from the respondents qua the request so made by the petitioner for appointment on compassionate basis. It is in this backdrop that the present case stands filed by the petitioner. 4. In the light of the fact that the respondents have not yet decided the application of the petitioner for the grant of appointment on compassionate basis, this petition is disposed of with the direction that appropriate call shall be taken on the said application of the petitioner on the basis of the policy in vogue at the time of the death of the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from today. 5.
