Also heard Mr. Page No.# 2/2 Bankim Sarma, the learned Special Public Prosecutor for the Wild Life. 2. This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, whereby the petitioners, namely, 1. Sri Kiran Pegu & Sri Manuj Pathori have prayed for releasing them on bail, after they were arrested on 09.12.2025 in connection with Offence Case CIR No.02/2025 under Sections 9, 39, 51 and 52 of Wild Protection Act, 1972. 3. The petitioner Sri Kiran Pegu was carrying bag containing fire arm and he handed over the bag to the petitioner Sri Manuj Pathori. The bag containing a fire arm was used for killing Rhinos at Majuli. 4. Since the office alleged against the present petitioners is a serious one, this Court is of the opinion that these petitioners do not deserve to be released on bail at this stage.
