This is an application under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023, seeking pre-arrest bail by the accused-applicant in connection with Numaligarh Rural P.S. Case No. 74/2026, Page No.# 2/2 registered under Sections 316(2)/318(4)/3(5) of BNS, 2023, read with Section 14 of the Assam Game and Betting Act, 1970. A coordinate bench of this court, vide order dated 07.09.2026, has granted the accused-applicant interim pre-arrest bail with a direction to the accused-applicant to appear before the Investigating Officer within ten days. It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the accused-applicant that in terms of the aforesaid order dated 07.09.2026, the accused-applicant has already appeared before the IO and got his statements recorded. The aforesaid statement has also been confirmed by the learned Addl. PP for the State. Taking into account the aforesaid, the interim order dated 07.09.2026 is hereby made absolute.
