By the way of the present petition the petitioner is seeking quashing of FIR No. 607/2024, registered at Police Station Bindapur, Delhi, for the offences punishable under Section 69 Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (hereinafter referred to as ‘BNS’) and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom on the basis of the settlement arrived at between the parties. 4. Issue notice. The learned APP accepts notice on behalf of the State. This is a digitally signed order. The petitioner and respondents no. 2 are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsel and Investigating Officer . 6. Brief facts of the case, as borne out from the record, are that the petitioner and respondent no. 2 became acquainted with each other through Facebook on 11.11.2024 and thereafter developed a relationship. On 17.11.2024, they established physical relations. Allegedly, respondent no. 2 subsequently expressed her desire to marry the petitioner, whereafter certain disputes arose between the parties in relation to an alleged prior engagement of the petitioner. On 27.12.2024, respondent no. 2 lodged a complaint pursuant to which FIR No. 607/2024 was registered at P.S. Bindapur under Section 69 of the BNS, alleging that the petitioner had established physical relations with her by deceitful means on the basis of a false promise of marriage. The chargesheet was thereafter filed and cognizance was taken by the learned Trial Court, with charge under Section 69 BNS having been framed against the petitioner. 7. On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2 who has been duly identified by the IO, has categorically stated that she has entered into compromise vide Settlement Agreements dated 25.07.2026 out of her own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, she has no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 8. In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. Accordingly, FIR No. 607/2024, registered at Police Station Bindapur, Delhi, for the offences punishable under Sections 69 of the BNS, along with all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, is hereby quashed. 10. The present petition is disposed of. 11. Pending application(s), if any, also stand(s) disposed of. 12.
