JUSTICE V SRISHANANDA ORAL ORDER Joint memo is filed which reads as under: ”The petitioner and respondent have compromised the matter and the complainant has agreed to pay total sum of Rs.18,00,000/- (Rs. eighteen lakhs only). The respondent is agreed for the same. The petitioner is going to pay Rs.15,00,000/- in 3 equal installments from 10th May 2026. The petitioner has deposited Rs.3,00,000/- (Rs.three lakhs) before the Court below. The petitioner has no objection to receive the deposit amount of Rs.3,00,000/- in the interest of justice.” 2. Husband of the revision petitioner is present. Respondent is present. On enquiry, they submit that the settlement is voluntary and there is no force or undue influence or coercion in reaching out the settlement. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:20533 CRL.RP No. 1675 of 2024 3. As such, there is no impediment for this Court to accept the joint memo and disposal of the petition. 4. Hence, the following: ORDER (i) Placing the joint memo on record petition stands disposed of. (ii) Amount in deposit is ordered to be withdrawn by the complainant under due identification. (iii) It is made clear that, if there is any default in any one of the instalments towards the compensation amount, petitioner shall undergo imprisonment as ordered by the learned Trial Magistrate confirmed by the learned Judge in the First Appellate Court.
