SREENIVASA REDDY Writ Petition No.2647 of 2026 Order: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following prayer; “…. to issue a Writ Order or Direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of MANDAMUS declaring the action of the respondents in not releasing payment for the bills to the petitioner for the works executed by him namely i GGMP 202223 Laying of CC Drain in Yerukula colony pole No YC/506 to pole No YC/519 of Chennur Gudur Municipality under agreement No 353/2023 Dated 27 11 2023 for an amount of Rs 4 88 755/ ii GGMP 202223 Providing of CC Drain in Harijanawadall pole No HW2/96 to pole NO HW2/107 of Chennurll Gudur Municipality under agreement No 354/2023 Dated 27 11 2023 for an amount of Rs 4 67 424/ and iii GGMP 202223 Providing of CC Drain in Harijanawadall pole No HW2/108 to pole No HW2/116 of Chennurll Gudur Municipality under agreement No 355/2023 Dated 27 11 2023 for an amount of Rs 4 37 750/ total amount of Rs 46 19 054/ as illegal arbitrary malafidy highhanded and contrary to the procedure established by law apart from being voilative of Articles 14 and 19 1 g of the Constitution of India and consequentially direct the respondents to release the payment of above bill along with interest forthwith in the interest of justice and pass ….” 2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Counsel for the respondents. Perused the record. 3. Learned Counsel for the respondents, on written instructions, submits that the bills totaling a gross amount of 3 Rs.13,93,929/- in respect of the three works executed by the petitioner under the GGMP grant have been recommended for payment. It is further submitted that, due to the non-availability of funds under the relevant head of account for the GGMP grant, the office has been unable to upload the bills to the CFMS. 4. Since it is admitted that the petitioner has executed the works and there is no dispute with regard to the said amount, the respondents are directed to pay the undisputed amount of Rs.13,93,929/- within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
